The 7th International Exhibition of Graphic Arts
The catalogue of the 7th International Exhibition of Graphic Arts, which was on view at the Museum of Modern Art and included works by 317 artists from 44 countries. The works were evaluated by a nine-member international jury.
The main biennial exhibition and the personal retrospectives of the award-winners were designed by Sergej Pavlin and Zoran Kržišnik. The personal retrospectives of the first four award-winners of the previous edition (Joan Miró, Victor Vasarely, Emil Schumacher, Stojan Ćelić) were mounted and the accompanying texts published in the catalogue.
The catalogue is lavishly illustrated in black and white and includes a few colour reproductions of the exhibited works. In 1967, Jože Brumen conceived the visual identity of the 7th International Exhibition of Graphic Arts in a comprehensive way. He designed the catalogue cover and the poster with a reproduction of a work by Victor Vasarely. At the time, Brumen was at the peak of his creative power. In the same year, he also designed the famous Integrali, a collection of poems by Srečko Kosovel, published by Cankarjeva založba.
