The 1st International Exhibition of Graphic Arts

The catalogue of the 1st International Exhibition of Graphic Arts, which was on view in 1955 at the Museum of Modern Art and included works by 151 artists from 22 countries and a special group of the Paris school. The works were evaluated by a seven-member international jury.

In addition to the foreword and the introduction, the catalogue contains the biographical data of the artists and a list of exhibited works, which became a constant feature of all future catalogues. On the cover of the catalogue, which is lavishly illustrated in black and white, is a reproduction of Pablo Picasso’s Tropical Plants.
