The catalogue of the 23rd International Biennial of Graphic Arts, which was on view at the International Centre of Graphic Arts, the Museum of Modern Art, Cankarjev dom and the Jakopič Gallery and included works by 204 artists from 33 countries. The works were evaluated by a five-member international jury. The patron of the 23rd International Biennial of Graphic Arts was the President of the Republic of Slovenia Milan Kučan.
The main biennial exhibition, the personal retrospectives of the award-winners and the accompanying exhibition were designed by Breda Škrjanec, Maruša Stupica and the Faculty of Architecture (Assistant Professor Vojteh Ravnikar’s seminar). The organisers mounted the personal retrospectives of the first six award-winners of the previous edition (David Hockney, Kohei Wakatsuki, Robert Jančovič, Leonardo Gotleyb, Vladimir Makuc, Lee Chun-Wook) and, with a special exhibition, marked Božidar Jakac’s 100th birthday. The catalogue includes the accompanying texts and texts by individual national selectors of the main exhibition.
The catalogue has a lavish design and includes only colour reproductions. On the cover is a reproduction of a work by Kohei Wakatsuki. The catalogue was designed by Ranko Novak.
