Victor Pasmore, Three Images, 1975, etching and aquatint; recipient of the Grand Prix d’Honneur, 12th International Biennial of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana, 1977.

The exhibition included twenty prints made between 1953 and 1978. Victor Pasmore was a British artist and architect who initiated the development of post-war abstract art in the UK. His works make up one of the most diverse and experimental oeuvres of any 20th-century British artist. It was marked by two completely separate periods, the period of representation and the period of abstraction. Well-known are his abstract colour screenprints that come across as weightless colour abstractions into which he intervenes with a line that gives the impression of having an organic development.
