Joan Miró died at the end of 1983. With this exhibition, the Ljubljana International Biennial of Graphic Arts paid homage to the receiver of the 1965 Grand Prize of Honour, thus thanking him for his repeated presence at the event. Zoran Kržišnik wrote the catalogue text. With the presentation of some of Miró’s works, the organiser wanted to at least partially show the significance of his prints – one of the cornerstones in the modern history of the medium.
