Guatemalan Film at the Biennial, 32nd Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts, 2017, event at MGLC Švicarija.

At the initiative of Alberto Rodríguez Collía, a participating artist in the 32nd Biennial of Graphic Arts, a series of documentary, feature and short films presenting three views of Guatemala’s turbulent history were screened as part of the accompanying programme: the period of Civil War, the post-war period and the experimental era of Guatemalan cinema.

The following films were screened at Švicarija on 29 August and 8 October:

Teatro de los Vagos: The Intertidal Zone (La zona intertidal),
Juan Brenner in Byron Mármol: Joy Vincio,
Carlos Amorales: Orellana’s Fantasy.
